- peanut butter - contains protein, healthy fats and vitamins
- cooked chicken - extra protein and good meal replacement if you run out of dog food
- cheese - good used as a treat, especially cottage cheese
- baby carrots - good for a dog's teeth, high in fiber and beta-carotene
- sweet potatoes - great when sliced and dehydrated as a chewy treat
- flax seed - adds omega 3 fatty acid good for dog's skin and coat
- yogurt - good for digestive system, high in calcium & protein (use no added sugar or artificial sweeteners)
